Our products fuse the natural fibers of the cañaflecha palm, with textile and fux leather pieces. The cañaflecha fibers, our main material, come from a palm of the same name, that has been grown for centuries by the native people of the Sinu region in Colombia. It is a plant that grows in humid soil and hot weather, along with other small crops.
When it is harvested, the midrib is separated from the green leaves to be scraped and dried under the sun. Once it is dry, it is ripped into very thin strips, which are dyed with natural or artificial pigments. Those thin fibers are then handwoven by the artisans; to make what they call the braids.
Our pieces incorporate those braids into contemporary handbag designs.
How do I care for my SinuForYou purse?
Our products are made with natural vegetable fibers, so to take good care of your piece, with these simple tips:
Avoid leaving or storing it on a place where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not wash it or dip it into water. If it happens, let it completely dry naturally, before storing it again.
Clean gently the exterior, only with a clean wet clothe. Remember you can also dust the interior periodically.
